Here's what you need to know

• Each lesson is 30 minutes
• The cost is $100 per month or $25.00 per lesson as some months have more than four teaching days.

• Payment in cash or post-dated cheques (payable to David Lowe) dated the beginning of every month.
• Bring a 3-ring binder to record the weekly lessons
• Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance

Syncopation by Ted Reed, published by Alfred Music
The Drumset Musician by Rod Morgenstein & Rick Mattingly, published by Hal Leonard

Bass:
Bass1 - Fast Track, published by Hal Leonard

Guitar:
Guitar1 - Fast Track, published by Hal Leonard

Beginners need:

• Syncopation book
• A practice pad (recommend 14” snare pad)
• 1 pair of sticks
• desire and will to work hard
• patience
• Students are taught to read music for drumset and are also encouraged to learn by ear.
• Practicing drums does NOT have to be noisy!!
• Beginners are taught the essential basics (proper grip, rudiments, practice methods, etc.)
• Beginners do not need a set of drums for at least 3 months!!

A bit about Dave:

• Over 25 years teaching experince
• Has performed in numerous stage and theatre productions including Pirates of Penzance, Guys and Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof
• Perfomed in numerous music festivals
• Works as a freelance musician, performing live and in the studio
• Conducts workshops, and clinics throughout schools in Peel Region, Toronto District
• Recently toured Africa with show band Mischief
• Recently toured Ontario with show band Hitlist
